How Green Lake's Cold Winters and Seasonal Weather Affect Insulation Needs

Green Lake experiences cold winters, warm summers, and precipitation throughout the year. According to the Wisconsin State Climatology Office's Green Lake County Climate Profile, the county averages winter temperatures of 29.6°F during the day and 13.1°F at night, with approximately 47.5 inches of annual snowfall. These conditions make thermal resistance and air sealing important for reducing heat loss through poorly insulated building areas. Proper insulation also helps limit unwanted heat transfer during warmer months.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources identifies Green Lake as a 7,920-acre lake with a maximum depth of 236 feet. Properties around the lake may include seasonal residences and buildings with different heating schedules. Insulation planning should consider exterior walls, accessible roof spaces, and crawl spaces while accounting for moisture conditions and ventilation requirements.

I had them spray foam insulate my 40x40 steel shed and they came out promptly and said it would take 2 days and they kept promise by working late the second day to get it done. They put plastic sheets over everything I was unable to get out as well as garage doors, windows, and floors to keep everything clean. They did a fantastic job and were very nice. I appreciated that they did what they said they were going to do. Highly recommended.

First, I don't typically leave reviews. But these two guys are awesome, and I highly recommend!!! I called Dan, with Proseal out of Waupaca, to come and spray foam my basement rim joist. They arrived on time, super friendly and answered all my questions! From start to finish everything was clean, and professional. When they were done, Dan had me come down and take a look. It looked better than what I was even hoping for. Dan had even offered to cover my vent with foam on the outside to keep the mice from trying to enter that way too! Amazing people and an amazing job done! Everything was sealed up so nice I swear I could feel a difference already!! I suddenly could hear, my aging 11-yr-old German Shephard, on her way downstairs to see what everyone was looking at. (She hasn't been able to get downstairs for about 1 yr but certainly was trying to.) I was so afraid she was going to fall.. Elijah ran to the rescue and picked her up and carried her back upstairs!!! Elijah went above and beyond to help my girl get back to safety! Thank you, Dan and Elijah, for everything!! I highly recommend you both!!
